Bon Clay: From Impel Down to the Road to Laugh Tale
Alabasta's Dancing Queen
Bon Clay, the flamboyant and charismatic "Dancing Queen" of the Baroque Works, first made his appearance in the Alabasta Arc of the
One Piece anime and manga. As Mr. 2, he served as one of the elite officers under Sir Crocodile's command.
Sacrifice in Impel Down
Bon Clay's true loyalty was revealed in the Impel Down Arc. After Luffy was imprisoned in the infamous prison, Bon Clay infiltrated it disguised as Magellan, the warden. He sacrificed his own freedom to help Luffy escape, willingly taking his place in Level 5.
Assumed Death
Bon Clay's assumed death came during his battle with Magellan. The warden's poison was thought to have claimed his life, leaving Luffy and the others to mourn his loss.
Clone-Clone Fruit
Unbeknownst to all, Bon Clay possessed the Paramecia Devil Fruit known as the Mane Mane no Mi (Clone-Clone Fruit). This fruit granted him the power to perfectly mimic the appearance and abilities of anyone he touched.
Faking His Death
Using his Devil Fruit, Bon Clay was able to fool Magellan into believing he had killed him. He subsequently took on the warden's form and used it to escape Impel Down undetected.
Alive and Well
Despite being presumed dead, Bon Clay is still alive in the
One Piece universe. He has since joined Luffy's alliance and played a vital role in the Marineford War and the Dressrosa Arc.
Road to Laugh Tale
Bon Clay's journey continues alongside Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates as they sail towards Laugh Tale, the final destination of the Grand Line. His unwavering loyalty, adaptability, and flamboyant personality make him a valuable asset to the crew.
